A Macaroni penguin in a bustling Chinstrap penguin breeding site in the South Shetland Islands. The Macaroni is at least 1500 km from its native colony, but probably missed it during a seasonal migration and joined some Chinstraps in the Drake Passage. It returns every year to await a mate. The brown fuzzy ones are well-fed baby Chinstraps
